Frequently Asked Questions
Which iPhones can run TextCraft? TextCraft needs iOS 26 and an iPhone with at least 6 GB of memory: iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max, iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max, every iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 model, and any newer iPhone. On iPhone 11 models, iPhone 12 and 12 mini, iPhone 13 and 13 mini, and iPhone SE, the writing model cannot run, and the App shows that on-device AI is unavailable. Restarting the App or the iPhone does not change this on these models.
Why is the App such a large download? The AI writing model is built into the App, and the model alone is about 2.7 GB. Nothing else is downloaded later, and the model stays on your iPhone. Apple Intelligence is not required.
Do I need an internet connection? Not for writing: Tones, Replies, Letters and Summary run on your iPhone. An internet connection is needed to buy or restore a subscription.
Where does my text go? The text you enter and the results are processed on your iPhone. They are not sent to the developer or to any AI service. Results are saved in History on your iPhone, and text leaves the App only when you copy or share it yourself. The App sends usage analytics and crash reports that do not include the text you write. More details are in the Privacy Policy.
How do I delete my history? In the History tab, swipe left on an item and tap Delete, or tap Clear all to remove everything. Deleting the App removes all of its data from your iPhone, including the people you saved in Who sent this?.
Why does a result take a while? The first request after you open the App can take longer while the model loads. Each tone, reply direction, summary level and letter draft is written as a separate request, so choosing more of them takes longer. Longer input also takes longer.
Why does a result sound odd or get something wrong? AI drafts can be inaccurate, repeat themselves or miss the point, so read every result before you send it. TextCraft is designed for English; results in other languages may be less accurate. Tap Refine to get a new version of a card, or try a shorter, clearer input.
What are the free limits? Without TextCraft Pro you get 8 generations a day (the count resets at midnight), 2 tones at a time, one Refine per card, three letter templates (Saying no, Apology and Something else), the One sentence and Key points summary levels, and your 20 most recent results in History. Refine does not count toward the daily limit. Input can be up to 2,500 characters in Tones and Replies, 3,000 in Summary and 2,000 for the key points of a letter.
My TextCraft Pro subscription isn't active. Tap the gear icon at the top right of Tones, Replies, Letters or Summary, then Restore purchases, or tap Restore on the upgrade screen. Use the same Apple Account you used to subscribe.
Purchases and Subscriptions
Restore a purchase. If a subscription you paid for is not active, for example after reinstalling the App or on a new device, open the App and use Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple Account you used to buy it.
Manage or cancel. Subscriptions are billed and managed by Apple. To cancel or change a subscription, open your device Settings (your name → Subscriptions) or the App Store app. Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period to avoid the next renewal.
Refunds. The developer does not process payments and cannot issue refunds for App Store purchases. To request a refund, use Apple's process at reportaproblem.apple.com.
